Description
In the framework of LUCAS - International Filmfestival for young Filmlovers children from 4 to 6 years old experienced a new programme for the youngest filmfans, the "Minis". In this new and interactive programme the children learned about cinema as a specific venue - what constitutes the essence of that venue and what is behind the scenes. With a 'Live-Broadcast' out of the projection room the machinery of cinema became visible. After reflecting about the cinema itself the programme was rounded by the screening and following discussion of 3 short cartoons and animation films. 6 young film- and cinema-experts from the nursery school Grüne Soße in Frankfurt, former participants of the project MiniFilmclub guided their peers through the whole programme.
FILM EDUCATION FRAMEWORK FOR EUROPE
The Framework sets out a series of outcomes to which any film literacy programme or project, be it in the formal education or informal education sector, could realistically aspire. It is not expected that any one project could deliver all of the outcomes in the Framework, but rather it is hoped that by placing the critical, creative and cultural dimensions alongside each other that it will be possible for project developers to explore issues and outcomes beyond their own current practice.
