Description

Children watched some shorts on the big screen, including LE AVVENTURE DI UN UOVO. For many of them this has been their first experience in a cinema. They were involved into speaking about how the story was built, which were the principal elements... Then we gave to them some plastic cards where we have printed the main sequences of the film and asked them to order or to dis-order them, with the purpose to discover in how many different ways a story can be built. The older children (5 years old) were also involved into a stop-motion animation experimentation: they were asked to represent their own fears (as the fear of being trapped, represented in the film) with a drawing and then to animate it at the animation table. This was also the occasion to talk with them about emotions, that will be part of another percourse that these children will do in the future.

FILM EDUCATION FRAMEWORK FOR EUROPE

The Framework sets out a series of outcomes to which any film literacy programme or project, be it in the formal education or informal education sector, could realistically aspire. It is not expected that any one project could deliver all of the outcomes in the Framework, but rather it is hoped that by placing the critical, creative and cultural dimensions alongside each other that it will be possible for project developers to explore issues and outcomes beyond their own current practice.
