Little Lotte

Available language: en it

Age: 3-6
Sessions: 1
Session's duration: 3h

The activity has been organized in the new space that Cineteca has been devoting to children since 2 years now, also thanks to ABCinema Project. In this place (called Cinnoteca) twice per month we organize special free screenings for children and their families (generally aimed 3+ years old) and workshops to follow. This specific activity was linked to Lotte Reiniger and the silhouette films. Children could watch some shorts in the theatre and after that they could play with the magic of light and shadow, in the space that was especially set up for this purpose. They listened to Clementina Mingozzi, who is an expert in shadow theatre shows, talking about the history of this art form and its links with cinema, and then they could use the cutouts she had prepared and build, together with their families, their own stories.

The Framework sets out a series of outcomes to which any film literacy programme or project, be it in the formal education or informal education sector, could realistically aspire. It is not expected that any one project could deliver all of the outcomes in the Framework, but rather it is hoped that by placing the critical, creative and cultural dimensions alongside each other that it will be possible for project developers to explore issues and outcomes beyond their own current practice.
